Notes
I thoroughly ejnoyed this production of A Midsummer Night's Dream· I followed nearly half the play in my Staunton's "The Globe Illustrated Shakespeare"· Very little has been left out in Hall's film production· The diction of the first-class actors is great; and while we are hearing Elizabethian English, it is nearly totally understandable· While I may disagree with a few of the readings, these are minor quibbles.
Even though the dvd is now nearly 60 years old, technically it is pretty good· The visual quality streaming version on YouTube leaves something to be desired·
