I call this version of Shakespeare's A M8idsummer Night's Dream "Dream Light·" If you want a treatment of Dream that is very faithful to Shakespeare's original script, see Peter Hall's Royal Shakespeare Company 1969 version or Julie Taylor's 2014 version· If you are interested in a more Hollywoodized treatment, you may find this 1999 version more to your liking or even Max Reinhardt 's 1935 version· All are a fun romp· While Hoffman and Reinhardt have significantly edited down the script, the essence is still there· This version is less a filmed version of a stage production; the scene settings are much more as one would expect in a well financed Hollywood production·
