TUNA CASSEROLE

1/4 (4 oz.) bag egg noodles
1 can cream of mushroom soup
1/4 large onion, chopped fine
2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
1 large can drained tuna
1 can peas
3 slices American cheese
Pepper to taste

3 Tbs butter
1 cup flavored bread crumbs

Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Add onion and garlic to water, and cook noodles according to instructions, about 9 minutes.   Add can of peas including liquid for last 2 minutes of cooking.

While noodles are cooking, melt butter in small sauce pan and add bread crumbs.

Drain cooked noodles, onions and garlic, reserving about 1 cup of liquid. Add mushroom soup, cheese, and water to make smooth mix (you may not need the full cup of water).  Put in a 3 1/2 quart baking dish.  Bake at 350 degrees for about 15 minutes.  Remove from oven and add bread crumbs to top, and bake another 10 minutes until crumbs have browned lightly.
