A good effort, but not high on my list of favorite American Dance Company pieces. While I think "dance" of the Alvin Ailey ilk can be shown well on film, I suspect it is hard for choreographers accustomed to the stage to get it fully right. Hopefully we'll see more of the effort moving forward.
