FtWTF – Female to What The Fuck introduces six protagonists who live out their trans* identities in ways that differ from one another, and also transform over the years. The film breaks from a voyeuristic, external gaze, replacing it with the empowering, self-reflective perspective of the people portrayed; mediating with ease and a lack of pathetic gesture, an understanding of trans* as a site from where life’s universal questions can be posed anew: Who am I, who do I want to be?
