Notes
Richard & I took the afternoon off to see this much hyped film· It took us exactly five hours door-to-door to get to the nearest theater on Long Island, watch the film, and drive back during the evening rush· Richard chattered away the entire trip back, and managed to drive right past our exit from the expressway - an exit we've used several times a week for forty-years·
The problem with large studios (Sony Pictures Classics) taking over the distribution of a film - and this is a fine film - is that they are so adept at their publicity that they can raise expectations to the point where we can be disappointed when we finally see it· I suppose we should have expected some disappoint· I, at least, had unreasonable expectations·

I accidently ordered two copies of this film.

Call Me By Your Name has been nominated for Best Picture and Timothée Chalamet nominated for Best Actor, 2018 Academy Awards.
