Notes
I can't say this is a great film, but among the horde of queer coming-of-age teenager movies out there it is one of the better· Films like this may be especially relevant for teenagers who are struggling to come to terms with their own sexuality and its place in society and family· Even in this age where alternate sexualities are becoming more accepted in Western societies, there remains much homophobic hate, rejection and violence· While Hidden Kisses does not leave us with an entirely happy fairy ending (pun intended), it does leave us with hope.
