It's hipster sexual politics filtered through the French New Wave in Xavier Dolan's Heartbeats. The story of two close friends who are involved in a lust-triangle. Francis (Dolan) and his best friend Maria (Munia Chokre) are both pixilated by the same guy — Nicholas (Niels Schneider)· All bets are off as they attempt to out-maneuver one another to win his affections.
