Set in contemporary London, LILTING tells the story of a Cambodian-Chinese mother who speaks little English, and of her son's long-time gay lover, both of whom are mourning the death of the son. Though they don't share a common language, a translator helps piece together the memories of a man they both loved. LILTING is a film about unlikely connections and the tragedies that bring us together even though we may be worlds apart. What appears to us to be best for another may not actually be--self clouds perceptions.
