A warm endearing coming of age story of a young transgender woman (Ricky) and her long time male-friend (Robbie) -- this is not a coming-out story, as Ricky has identified since an early age as a female, and is known to her family, friends and community as female. It was interesting to note that, in the NefFlex edition, a very brief scene (perhaps less than ten seconds) showing frontal nudity has Ricky's genitals are blurred-out.
