Notes
While the queer interest of this film is but a minor episode, it is crucial to the overall film. Based on the true story of Dr. Donald Shirley, (January 29, 1927 – April 6, 2013) an American classical and jazz pianist and composer. Mahershala Ali (Shirley) won the Best Supporting actor award at the 2019 Academy Awards. Showed this movie at the June 2019 Pride Barbecue of the Long Island Ravens MC.
