Notes
Apparently there is an "original version" of The Wicker Man floating about somewhere that restores many of the cuts made prior to its USA release in 1973; I have found a possible version on Amazon.com which claims to include the missing scenes (see links). This version is too pricey for me.

This present version appears to be the original 1973 USA version re-release in 2006.

While many commentators have categorized The Wicker Man as a "horror" film, to me it is a thought provoking comment on religious zealots of every ilk, and as meaningful a half-century later as when it was first released.
