In the fourth season opener, the Bears throw a wedding shower in their backyard to celebrate Nelson and Todd’s upcoming nuptials, but things go south fast when Nelson’s mother Doris starts taking potshots at Todd, Nelson invites Todd’s estranged brother Jimmy without telling him, and a spiteful party crasher makes an insulting toast that threatens to ruin the entire event...

Determined to solve Dickie Calloway’s murder for his new Inquisitive Channel true crime TV show, Reggie bribes Nelson and Todd by offering to pay for their entire wedding if they help him solve the case. Meanwhile, Wood auditions male models for his new swimwear line called “Sporting Wood”.

Reggie (Rick Copp) feels pressure to solve the Dickie Calloway murder when his boss Maggie Dexter (Missi Pyle) insists he be more aggressive in order to beef up his show’s ratings. Meanwhile, Wood cuts a deal with the Inquisitive Channel to feature his new swimwear line on all their shows including Murder Time with Reggie Hatch...

The Bears confront kitchen maven Honey Garrett (Brooke Dillman) on the set of her Inquisitive Channel TV show Cooking Time with Honey Garrett after Reggie remembers seeing her having a heated argument with Dickie Calloway right before he choked on poisoned champagne at Nelson and Todd’s wedding shower.

The Bears bare all at a gay bathhouse in order to track down Honey Garrett’s ex-boyfriend Eduardo (Josef Arellano) who they suspect of serving Dickie Calloway the poisoned champagne at the wedding shower. Meanwhile, Nelson and Todd both worry about being monogamous once they’re married, Wood runs into his super hot Sporting Wood model Tucker Fox (Jeff Bosley) and Reggie confronts a closeted co-worker.

While attending Dickie Calloway’s funeral, Nelson (Ben Zook) can’t seem to muster a somber mood for the occasion. Meanwhile, the Bears question two suspects who both had strong motives for murdering Dickie-- his ambitious acting understudy Theo Summerfield and Nelson’s own best friend from college Sandy Quinn (Gabby Sanalitro) who was devastated when Dickie stole Nelson away from her to move to Hollywood and form their Two Fat Guys comedy act.

Nelson (Ben Zook) is forced to deliver Dickie Calloway’s eulogy after the original speaker, his best friend Sandy, goes AWOL. Meanwhile, Reggie confronts Todd’s brother Jimmy after learning from Detective Winters that Dickie may have been mixed up with the east coast mafia.

When the Bears show up on the set of a TV game show where Dickie’s boyfriend Matt works to question him about why he didn’t attend Dickie’s funeral, the producer winds up recruiting them as contestants when the team going up against the returning champions suddenly drops out.

While hosting a brunch at the Bears’ house for his parents, Nelson works up the nerve to ask his mother about the incriminating words she was overheard to say about Dickie right before he was murdered, which sends her into an emotional tailspin. But instead of blaming Nelson, his mother focuses her anger on Todd (Ian Parks), whom she clearly does not want marrying her son.

When it becomes obvious he is being relegated to the background of his own TV show, Reggie (Rick Copp) storms off the set and into the clutches of a sexy but dangerous magazine reporter named Ace (Jared Michael Degado). Meanwhile, Winters and Martinez, who are in the middle of a nasty divorce, enlist the unwitting aid of Reggie and Wood to make each other jealous and serial killer turned reality TV star Cyril (Scott Beauchemin) visits the Inquisitive Channel.

The Bears show up at a local watering hole in the valley called Mugs & Jugs after Todd (Ian Parks) finds out one of Reggie’s assailants works there as a bouncer. But their investigation is sidetracked when Wood’s off-handed comment about acting more butch than Nelson and Reggie results in the three of them pretending to be straight and hitting on all the waitresses.

At a surprise bachelor party for Nelson and Todd, George Ridgemont fires Tucker as a model for the Sporting Wood swimwear line for fooling around with Wood; Winters and Martinez escalate their all out war to make the other jealous; and Captain Coley gets used to being an out gay man just before the entire party spirals out of control.

When George Ridgemont stumbles across photos of Dickie Calloway moments before he keeled over from the poisoned champagne inside Tucker’s gym bag, Nelson and Todd race to a photo shoot to warn Wood and Reggie, unaware that Reggie’s would be kidnappers Ace and Gary are lying in wait with a pair of airborne drones armed with loaded guns.

When Nelson’s parents Doris and Sherman host a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding at their luxury high rise rental apartment, Doris (Rita Taggart) drinks too much champagne and lets loose with a litany of reasons why Todd is not good enough for her beloved son. Meanwhile, Todd’s brother Jimmy shows up to attempt one last reconciliation with Todd and Reggie discovers he has a secret admirer.

In Part One of a two-part episode, Nelson and Todd’s wedding day finally arrives, but Reggie’s nagging suspicions about Todd’s brother Jimmy (Guy Nardulli) are finally confirmed when he spots him brandishing a gun seconds before the ceremony is scheduled to begin.

In Part Two of a two-part episode, Nelson and Todd’s fairy tale wedding is shattered by a gun-toting crazed maniac’s wild shooting spree that ends with Todd (Ian Parks) on the ground dying after being shot in the chest during the melee.

In Part One of the action-packed two-part season ender, the Bears board a luxury yacht bound for Catalina Island for an impromptu wedding. But it’s not all smooth sailing when Reggie and Wood make a startling discovery in a secluded stateroom while searching below deck for the galley.

In Part Two of the action-packed two-part season ender, the Bears find themselves in dire peril on board a luxury yacht far out at sea where a dangerous criminal and a pair of murderous thugs plan on shooting them and dumping their bodies overboard never to be found.
