Notes
A wonderful war thriller told not from the viewpoint of soldiers, generals, battles and world leaders, but from that of ordinary people living under a harsh Nazi occupation -- Its story thar rings very true -- One on my much beloved neighbors was a member of the Dutch resistance -- And he told us stories of how the Dutch people resisted (and did not resist) German occupation -- But of course, the movie is not about war and the Dutch resistance per se, but about friendship and love -- It's beautifully told, filmed and acted.
