Notes
Richard and I saw this film at our small local library as part of their Tuesday matinee series -- given all the positive critical reviews of the film, I expected a nearly full house (their little theater only holds about twenty people) -- Instead there were just the two of us and three quite elderly local society matrons, for one it was her second viewing -- We didn't really engage in a discussion with them, but they did comment that the film was almost overpowering morose, and they missed redemption -- For me, the movie was deserving of the critical praise -- Casey Affleck's performance was superb -- He won Best Actor at 2017 Oscars-- The strong supporting cast was also a joy -- See it.
