Notes
The film uses the common documentary technique of arranging a series personal interviews into categories or chapters, with the hope that together they "tell the story" -- This technique can work well, but in this film it is repetitive without adding insights, and adds extraneous material not-to-point -- I particularly missed its failure to probe the social and economic realities of its subjects -- Where wider community viewpoints are expressed, they tend to be of the most extreme varieties -- In spite of these weaknesses, the film is an useful contribution to the story of queer heritage.
