Based on the U.S. best-selling memoir by Piper Kerman, "Orange Is the New Black" is a comedic drama set in a women's prison that tells the story of engaged Brooklynite Piper Chapman, whose decade-old relationship with drug-runner Alex results in her arrest and year-long detention in a federal penitentiary.
