As I have remarked before, sometimes one needs to take IMDB ratings with a grain of salt. In this case, we have a low IMDB score on a film where two of the leading queer critics have rated the film high; and the number of IMDB voters is less than 500. I was suspicious, and placed the film high on my "to view" list. I was right. This is a fine film. The story is well written, acting good, and production quality more than satisfactory. I must confess, I am partial to road trip films. "On this long journey that will will take eventually Antonio back to Sicily, the friends reconnect but mainly with few words that leave so much still unsaid. Its a testimony to the two talented lead actors and the sheer chemistry between them that make this story so very believable, and engages you to such an extent that you end up wishing for a happy conclusion for them both." [QueerGuru] With road trip films, what is important is the journey more than the destination.
