Two teenage girls, both named Marie, decide that since the world is spoiled they will be spoiled as well; accordingly they embark on a series of destructive pranks in which they consume and destroy the world about them. This freewheeling, madcap feminist farce was immediately banned by the government.

Notes
Silly, psychedelic, anarchistic, absurd, fun.
In the 1970s I was a member of a small theater group that, for several years, did touring performances at libraries, schools and homes. The director and producer of these shows was very fond of the absurdist playwrights such as Samuel Beckett, Eugène Ionesco, Harold Pinter, Tom Stoppard, Edward Albee. Collectively these were called "Theatre of the Absurd." Their work focused largely on the idea of existentialism and expressed what happens when human existence has no meaning or purpose and therefore all communication breaks down. Logical construction and argument give way to irrational and illogical speech and behavior. Following each performance, the cast would sit with the audience and lead a discussion as to what it was all about. This was the ultimate absurdity -- trying to lead a rational discussion about the absurd behavior just displayed to them.
