Notes
The film is adapted from an autobiographical novel by Rudi van Dantzig, provocative Dutch Choreographer -- “For a Lost Soldier·” Van Dantzig recalls his adolescent affair with a Canadian soldier at the end of WWII when the Netherlands is liberated· It is a beautiful sensitive story of a boy's awakening and first romantic love, While some have condemned the film for promoting a Pedophilia relationship, their relationship clearly does not satisfy the definition contained in the Diagnostic and Statistical Manual of Mental Disorders (DSM) as published by the American Psychiatric Association.
